Pumpkin Ridge Post and Beam

Welcome to Ohio Timberframes, a site that describes the building of my new home. The 2000-sq-ft structure is of a hybrid timber frame/stick frame construction. This dual personality helps to keep costs down, but still allows all the beauty and strength of a post and beam design.

(But actually, all the pages are Home pages, now aren't they?) At present, like the house itself, this site is under construction. HA, HA! I post new pictures almost every day, so please check back often.

This is the foundation of our new home. Finished! By the way, the big block in the middle is where our wood-fired oven will eventually rest. You can't see the garden from here, but the tomatoes, peppers, onions, and garlic are growing. I can almost smell the pizza now!

This a photo of the big house looking from the living room to the bedroom. It is basically a three room house, living room, kitchen and bedroom.

I went out at sunset and snapped this picture through the roof trusses, added a little flair, via camera flare. It's too bad we need a roof over our heads.
