| Welcome to Ohio
Timberframes, a site that describes the building of my new
home. The slightly less than 2000-sq-ft structure is hybrid timberframe stick frame construction home. This dual personality helps to
keep costs down, but still
allows all the beauty and strength of a post and beam design.
This drawing to the right is the
house plan. After looking through a few million floor plans and finding none we liked, we thought we'd draw up our own. We wanted a large open floor plan, without a lot of little rooms we wouldn't use. We wanted both the kitchen and living room commanding a southeastern exposure etc.
The house we're building follows the floor plan loosely.
To navigate this site, click the buttons above,
which are arranged in the order in which the construction is
progressing. Right now, you are on the "Home" page. (But
actually, all the pages are Home pages, now aren't they?) At
present, like the house itself, this site is
under construction. HA, HA! I post new pictures when additional
progress is made, so please check back often. |
